As an online company, the goods bought from this company are delivered to the doorstep of the customer. But unlike any other company, this company does not release any annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report. For that, we have to rely on the data represented on the company’s website. The company’s stakeholders have varying interests and being a global company, Amazon.com does its best to fulfill that. The company launches several Corporate Social Responsibility strategies, programs, and policies. The company is utterly concerned with the maintenance of its reputation and thereby promote Corporate Social Responsibility programs(Ferguson).

Amazon smile is concerned with raising funds from the annual revenue of the company as a certain percentage of the yearly company revenue is donated for various community services(Ferguson).

There are many examples that we can use to reflect the effort of the company towards providing Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR. In 2016, Amazon.com was the first company to take the initiative towards Feeding America. They have also made a step towards providing digital library services as in Kenya, they offered assistance to 500000 people as they digitalized 61 national libraries. This company has a ‘Girls Who Code’ that empowers and influences girls and women to develop a passion for coding. The company also affects its employees to participate in different community programs. The leading two stakeholder group has engaged and volunteered in various community programs. About 1000 employees volunteered, and the company donated USD 65000, which is about 160 hours of work to the non-profit organizations. They also provide cash donations to local and nationwide non-profit organizations(Dudovskiy).

In 2015, USD 290,000 was donated Amazon.com to relief efforts for the earthquake in Nepal, in 2012, about USD 320,000 donated to for Typhoon Haiyan relief in the Philippines and about USD 430,000 donated to Hurricane Sandy relief in the U.S. They also sent gift boxes to U.S. military and their children for their service towards the country(Dudovskiy). The efforts that Amazom.com takes towards the fulfillment of the CSR of the company are genuinely remarkable, and this supports their mission and vision statement. As a leading e-Commerce company across the globe, their efforts should influence other companies and have an excellent sustainable community culture.
